Apertures

ARC possesses the machining techniques, skill and equipment to fabricate a wide variety of apertures in a similarly wide variety of materials. The aspect ratio of aperture opening to material thickness is generally limited to 1:20 without back thinning the material in the region of the hole. Shown on the right in Figure 1 is a collection of ranging from xxxxx to xxxxx.

Aperture construction varies from a free-standing sheet aperture where the aperture holes range from tens of nanometers to millimeters and material thicknesses range from sub-micron foil to tens of millimeters.

All apertures are characterized using the most appropriate measurement instrument including Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) when necessary as shown below.
