Working with ARC-

ARC provides R&D, Product Development, and Contract Manufacturing Services (CMS).

ARC is a One-Stop, High Tech Job Shop all the way to a full Project and Program Management Enterprise.

ARC performs the vast majority of its work in-house, such as; Precision Machining Services, Wafer Fab Services, Electronics and Software Development and Metrology and Analytical Lab Services.  ARC spans the gamut of the physical sciences.

For product development work, ARC uses Technical Readiness Levels (TRLs), originally invented by Stan Sadin at NASA in 1974, to categorize projects in terms of their status with respect to being deployed at a mature product level.

Early Stage, R&D, and Product Development Customers-

Manufacturability has not been established, there is a high risk of producing the results within specifications and within the quoted time frame.  It is best to perform such contracts on a time and materials basis with a not-to-exceed cap on the total cost.

In cases where the customer insists on a firm fixed price In such projects, ARC will expend the quoted, pre-determined amount of time and materials on each phase of a project on a Best Commercial Effort basis only.

In the case of pre-production fabrication,  ARC does not guarantee that your concept will work or meet your specification or meet any intended purposes.

Mature Prototypes to Production Ready Contract Manufacturing Services-

When a product has a high TRL, some degree of manufacturability has been established.  As such, higher TRL work may be contracted on a per unit or per turn basis with the usual guarantees of meeting specifications, “build to print” or similar.

ARC has a reputation for incredible high yields for its mature prototypes parts and contract manufacturing service (CMS or ECM, take your pick) projects.  As opposed to many ECMs (electronic contract manufacturing companies), ARC specializes in production manufacturing for what traditional ECMs think of as extreme low volume.  ARC priortizes these customers, many of whom are in the Scientific Instrument business, or in other cases, Aerospace and Defense Industries.

Reverse Engineering and Legacy Product Production Services-

This is a specialty of ARC, as many programs need parts and related manfuctuting services past their original intended lifespan.  Sometimes the orginal OEMs and suppliers have exited the field, ARC has the capacity to perform in these areas.

ARC Production Customers

Full ISO 9001:2015 procedures apply to ARC Products that are required to be “under (ISO) scope”.  In most cases, ARC will not charge for any work that does not meet a predetermined and agreed to quality specification.
